Volunteer Programs

BSGW and The Bead Museum offer interesting and fun opportunities to get involved as volunteers in several activities. Get the satisfaction of supporting our educational efforts while sharing your skills or learning some new ones. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, from high school students to senior citizens. Please contact us if you would like to help in any of the following areas: 

 

Hospitality

  • Coordinate refreshments for our monthly meetings

 

Semi-Annual Bazaar

  • Help with mailings, publicity, vendor hospitality, book sales  

 

Museum Volunteers

  • Help out as a docent

  • Work in our gift shop

  • Catalog new acquisitions in our library

  • Research and classify beads

  • Assist in our education and outreach programs.   

 

Newsletter

  • Write articles

  • Review books

  • Contact advertisers

  • Monitor web sites and news in the bead world

 

Demonstrations

  • Show off your skills and offer demonstrations of bead making or jewelry design at meetings and at special museum events.

 

Museum volunteer schedules are flexible. A commitment of one half or full day per week would be appreciated.
